1. What’s new in the world of Dog Fashion Disco?
Dog Fashion Disco is now on tour (June 2014) after an 8 year hiatus in support of our new album “Sweet Nothings” being released on July 22nd, 2014.
2. How was it recording the latest album in the studio?
Recording the new album was a lot of fun and seemed to happen fairly effortlessly.
3. Releasing promo videos for YouTube must be fun? What’s your view on making videos?
Making videos that I don’t have to be in are my favorites.
4. During an average year how many shows do you do now?
We do an average of 100 shows a year.
5. Could you describe some of your earliest influences?
Earliest influences- Metallica, Slayer, Faith No More, System of a Down, Radiohead, Zappa, Clutch, Beck.. Too many to list..
6. How important is it for a musician in this generation to spend time on social media?
Social media is very important in promoting our bands shows, album releases and campaign fundraiser.
7. How many hours a day do you spend on social media and the internet?
Hours spent a day on social media-8!
8. What could we find interesting in your music collection at home?
My music collection at home is not interesting lol..
9. Could you describe what goes on in a day in your life as a musician on tour?
A day on tour- we wake up in enough time to get to the show for load-in, which is usually 4pm. We load in, stage our gear, set up Merch, wait to play, play, hangout with our fans, load out gear, stay at a friends house or sleep in the van. Glamour-us huh?
10. Where do you see music in general going in 100 years from now?
Where is music going in the next 100 years? Right down the toilet!
