David Bowie dies at 69

Groundbreaking rock star David Bowie died Sunday from cancer at the age of 69.
Bowie was surrounded by his family when he died … according to the announcement posted on his Facebook page. He’d been diagnosed with cancer 18 months ago.
He was a huge innovator in glam rock, art rock, dance, punk and electronica. Bowie made a splash in the 60s with his famous Ziggy Stardust alter ego and went on to crank out hits like … “Space Oddity (Major Tom),” and “Ziggy Stardust,” “All the Young Dudes,” “Let’s Dance” and “Modern Love.”
