In this exclusive interview with Jason Saulnier for MusicLegends.ca, Bobbie Dazzle — the 70s-inspired glam rock project of Birmingham singer/songwriter Siân Greenaway — opens up about her fast-rising career, creative process, and passion for performance.
After launching Bobbie Dazzle at the end of 2023, Siân’s journey has been nothing short of explosive. In less than two years, she’s released her debut album Fandabidozi, signed with Rise Above Records, toured with Alice Cooper and Lita Ford, and begun work on her highly anticipated second album. “It’s been a whirlwind,” she says, “I only started Bobbie Dazzle seriously at the end of 2023, and since then it’s just exploded.”
She describes Bobbie Dazzle as a complete creative expression — blending vibrant glam rock sounds with bold visual aesthetics inspired by Bowie, Sweet, T. Rex, and The Runaways. Every element — from lighting and stage outfits to video production — is guided by her hands-on vision. “Bobbie Dazzle isn’t just about the music,” she explains. “It’s about the visual aesthetic — that 1970s glam rock energy that inspired me.”
Siân writes all her own material and collaborates with session musicians to bring her songs to life, maintaining full control over her direction. Working closely with producer Chris Dando, she continues to refine the distinctive “Bobby sound” that’s rapidly winning new fans worldwide.
Despite her growing success, she admits that managing every aspect of her career — from social media to touring logistics — can be overwhelming. “I literally do everything myself,” she says. “It’s exhausting, but necessary.”
Balancing an ambitious schedule with her personal life, she remains focused on building momentum and reaching new audiences. Beyond music, she loves animals, history, and exploring heritage sites across the UK. Above all, she wants her songs to bring happiness to others: “I created this music to be joyful — to put a smile on people’s faces and take them away from anything negative.”
