Fearless Vampire Killers is a English Alternative Rock band from England. Interview with Kier Kemp September 30, 2013.
1. What new in the world of Fearless Vampire Killers?
Lots! We’ve been really working hard to get a load of stuff together for everyone to enjoy. Written and recorded our second album, Halloween singles, new video and some other cool collaborations including a comic strip with David Lloyd of Aces weekly!
2. I am sure the band is looking forward to the North American tour Revel Without A Cause what can we expect?
We’re super stoked. As a band we’ve always been much more akin to acts from North America! So getting to tour there is amazing. We want to work our way up just like we have here in the UK! You can expect a show for sure. We’ve written a set that makes 100% use of the time we get on stage. Even if you don’t like it, you won’t be bored. Promise!
3. What equipment is the band currently endorsing, etc.?
Fender guitars and Peavey amps currently ;)
4. What are you currently promoting?
Our new Halloween single! “All Hallows Evil” due out digitally worldwide on October 28th.
5. Would you say Social Media Online has changed the Music Industry for the good or the bad?
For good. It’s made a very large audience accessible. You just need to know how to utilize it!!
6. What’s your vision on the Internet as a way to releasing Music Online now days?
Well that’s where everyone exists these days! Keep with the times, I don’t give a shit HOW people get our music as long as they DO get it!!
7. What could we find interesting in your music collection at home?
Everything from Metallica to Wham! Elton John to The Devil Wears Prada and maybe a little 90s Brit pop for Wooly D.
8. Could you describe what goes on in a day in your life as a musician?
Depends what day. Generally it’s 5 guys standing in a sweaty room. That room may be a rehearsal room, or a studio or a venue but they’re all sweaty! We’re playing music and loving what we do. Probably inserting a few bad jokes along the way.
9. Where do you see the future of music going in 100 years?
It will be downloaded directly into our brains but people will still need it!
10. Any words for future musicians?
Work hard. Really hard. Then you’ll get there. Being good is the minimum entry level so get that nailed first ;)
