Denise Ames is a native San Diegan living in Los Angeles. She currently anchors the weekly TV series “Focus in the Mix with Denise Ames” featuring a news desk highlighting exciting entertainment along with in-depth on camera celebrity interviews. Denise wrote factoids for CNN Headline News Local Edition inserts on cable for political interview segments in and around Los Angeles, performed on-camera remote reports, wrote and anchored various news programs for county wide cable as well. She also wrote and recorded 30-second PSAs and TV commercials, hosted various 30-minute specials and interviewed on the Red Carpet at events like PETA’s 25th Anniversary, various movie premieres and award shows including the Night of 100 Stars Oscar Party for a variety of TV news outlets. She used to contribute cover stories, articles and celebrity columns to a variety of print publications including Entertainment Today. She also currently contributes feature stories to AllAccessMagazine.com, a Los Angeles-based on line music periodical. She lives in North Hollywood with her rescued animals.
