Billy Idol Rocks Mohegan Sun Arena – August 8, 2026
Billy Idol brought his “It’s a Nice Day to… Tour Again!” to the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, on Saturday, August 8, 2026, delivering a career-spanning set of new material and classic hits with DEVO appearing as special guest.
The concert brought together two acts that helped define the punk and new wave eras, with DEVO opening the night before Idol and longtime guitarist Steve Stevens took the stage.

Billy Idol at Mohegan Sun Arena
Billy Idol opened his set with “Still Dancing,” before launching into “Cradle of Love” and “Flesh for Fantasy.”
The performance mixed songs from throughout Idol’s career with newer material from his 2025 album Dream Into It. The set included material associated with Billy Idol, Rebel Yell and Charmed Life, alongside covers and songs dating back to Idol’s days with Generation X.
Newer songs included “77,” “Love Unchained,” “Trouble With the Sweet Stuff” and “People I Love,” giving the show a balance between Idol’s current music and the songs that established him as one of rock’s most recognizable performers.
Eyes Without a Face and Steve Stevens
One of the night’s classic moments came with “Eyes Without a Face,” originally released on Idol’s 1983 album Rebel Yell.
The spotlight then shifted to guitarist Steve Stevens, whose guitar work has been an essential part of Billy Idol’s sound for decades.
Stevens performed an extended guitar showcase incorporating sections of Led Zeppelin’s “Over the Hills and Far Away” and Van Halen’s “Eruption.”
Later in the show, Idol and the band combined “Blue Highway” with the “Top Gun Anthem,” another nod to Stevens’ career outside of his work with Idol. Stevens received a Grammy Award for his work on the instrumental “Top Gun Anthem,” originally recorded with Harold Faltermeyer for the 1986 film Top Gun.
From Generation X to Rebel Yell
Billy Idol also revisited his punk roots with “Ready Steady Go,” a song originally recorded by Generation X, the band Idol fronted before launching his solo career.
The main set also featured Idol’s version of “Mony Mony,” originally made famous by Tommy James and the Shondells.
The band closed the main portion of the show with one of Idol’s biggest rock anthems, “Rebel Yell.”
Released in 1983, “Rebel Yell” became the title track of Idol’s second studio album and remains one of the defining songs of his career.
Four-Song Encore
Billy Idol returned for a four-song encore beginning with another song connected to his Generation X years, “Dancing With Myself.”
He followed with “Hot in the City” and the newer “People I Love.”
The night concluded with “White Wedding,” bringing the concert to a close with one of the most recognizable songs from Idol’s early solo career.
