Kyle McKearney Interview

n 2021, Kyle released his debut album Down-Home, which led to notable accolades, including two Canadian Country Music Award nominations (2022), two Western Canadian Music Awards nominations (2022), three Country Music Alberta nominations (2022) and two YYC Music Award nominations (2022). Additionally, Kyle was also recently nominated for three Canadian Folk Music Awards (2023) and three Country Music Alberta Awards (2023).

Last year, Kyle was named a SiriusXM Top of the Country semi-finalist, placed second in Alberta Music’s prestigious “Project Wild” artist development program, and won the inaugural Henry Armstrong Award presented by MDM Recordings and the YYC Music Award for Songwriter of the Year. He also had the privilege of sharing the stage with incredible artists, including The Black Crowes, Kip Moore, Our Lady Peace and Dean Brody. Those live audiences are sure to grow with the recent announcement that Kyle has signed on with Canada’s leading country music talent booker, the Sakamoto Agency.
