– What’s new in the world of ÆNLY? Spending time working on projects? We’ve been hard at work with new songs and also have a new single coming out late June called “up in smoke”!
– Let’s talk about a day in the life of a musician in the studio. How do you spend your time in the studio? We work out ideas, rhythms, melody, and then put a base down of where we want to go with the song and also work on the message we want to put out.
– How important is artwork for singles or albums? The song and artwork is about 50/50, we feel it as important!
– When writing a song, is there such a thing as investing too much time? What’s the shortest time you ever took to write one? What was your strangest inspiration? The time that it takes to write a song doesn’t really matter to us, just as long we’re happy with the end result. And the shortest time a song has taken us to finish is about 4 days, start to finish. ad there isn’t really a strange inspiration, any and all inspiration is all good with us!
– Do you follow a formula when you write? Not necessarily, we just let things flow and whatever comes out we mold.
– How important is merchandising? Could artists survive without? Merchandising is very important! A band needs that to help with expenses that come about.
– What would be some of your main musical influences today? There are so many to list, different genres and sounds bring different ideas!
– What would we be surprised to find in your music collection at home? R&B, Jazz, Blues. We all listen to varies types of music honestly.- How important is it for a musician in this generation to spend time on social media? Pretty important since its a great way to connect to your fans and be 1 on 1 with them!
– With the music industry shutting down presently. How are you dealing with these issues? We’re still pushing forward no matter what. We’ll get our music out there one way or another!
