Ace Frehley Live at the Mohegan Sun on January 31, 2025

Ace hit the stage ready to rock, and the band sounded tight—spot on! Drummer Scot Coogan delivered a powerful performance on the drums and excelled on lead vocals during Love Gun. The next song was the fan-favorite Rocket Ride, which showcased classic Ace playing loud—really loud!

After the song, Ace addressed the audience, mentioning a recent plane crash in Philadelphia. He asked everyone to observe ten seconds of silence and pray for the victims. Following the somber moment, Ace lightened the mood by sharing that he had won $5,000 the last time he was at Mohegan Sun Casino.

The band then launched into Detroit Rock City, with bassist Anthony Esposito holding down the groove as the drummer laid a solid foundation. Ace took a moment to thank his band and expressed how much he missed Eddie Van Halen.

After a brief break, Ace returned to the stage with his iconic flashing light guitar and performed Rip It Out. He stepped offstage again as the band started playing Love Her All I Can. During this time, drummer Scot Coogan delivered an incredible drum solo, with the lights perfectly synced to his beats.

Ace came back to perform New York Groove, thanking the fans, Gene, and Paul, and calling it a “good song.” He then teased the crowd by playing snippets of Led Zeppelin and Beatles songs, building anticipation for what was to come.

Finally, the moment everyone had been waiting for arrived: Ace unleashed a ferocious lead, lighting up the fretboard as smoke poured from his magic Gibson Les Paul. The band closed out the night with Rock and Roll All Nite, and the audience sang along enthusiastically. As the song ended, Ace urged the fans to get home safely.

It was an awesome show, and Ace proved once again that he’s back—just like he told you!
