Simple Plan in Halifax, NS February 26th, 2012
An audience of nearly 5,000 was treated to an energy-filled show at the Halifax Metro Centre Sunday night. Simple Plan was the cherry on top of the cake and ice cream served up by opening acts All Time Low and Marianas Trench. Performers from all three bands could give the Energizer Bunny a run for his money.

All Time Low, the only American act of the evening, set the bar quite high for those to follow. Those who weren’t already able to sing along, most likely became fans on the spot. Mission accomplished guys.
B.C.-based Marianas Trench’s Josh-in-box opening thrilled enthusiasts of the band’s latest album, Ever After. Tracks from the previous Masterpiece Theatre were woven in, leaving no Trenchy disappointed.
When Simple Plan took the stage at 9PM sharp, the crowd easily summoned up a third wind to dance and sing along to hits from the Quebec-based band’s 13 years of work. Many singles from the Get Your Heart On album highlighted an eclectic and somewhat surprising mix that covered anything from Maroon 5 to Black-Eyed Peas.
All in all, ticket holders got triple their money’s worth in one night.
