New Disorder Interview

– What’s new in the land of New Disorder?

We’re promoting our new album “ Straight To The Pain “ ( Agoge Records – 2015) and we’ll continue this way till the very first months of 2016. Some new things happened in the band line-up too, we’re gonna ufficialize them as soon as possible….And you’re the first one that know that!

– How was it recording your album Straight To The Pain?

We had worked at it since March 2013 – the very next day of our previous cd output . We had already been collecting various stuff, so that to be able to step into recording on June 2014; we published the single track ‘Never Too Late to Die’ (search and watch it on our Youtube channel!) on November 2014. Our label have been making worlwide arrangements since then and that led to MVD Entertainment Group US issue on September 2015.
– Making videos must be a lot of work and still fun to do. How do you look at it?

Shooting the video has been really exciting and apart the beautiful experience we had from that, it helped us to merge ourselves even more as a band. We shooted most of the video at our guitarist Alessandro Cavalli’s house and the main characters of the video are our friends, a family of musicians like us. Along with the video, we spent all day together having fun, as i said before we merged even more as a band and we rediscovered some good friends, what can we ask more?

– When writing a song, is there such a thing as investing too much time?

We have a new line-up right now and it’s just a little time we’re working together, but if we decide to write something new I must say that the ideas come up very quickly and in a little time we can compose good things! Of course after writing it we come back on it reviewing all the work we made or adding something in the song arrangement. Let’s say that every song has an own story.

– Do you have any tours coming up in the near future?

We’ll be on tour across Europe next Spring. Not planned yet when we gonna hit the USA, but we are thinking about it. Maybe Summer/Fall 2016?

– Vinyl is making a comeback. Do you have a personal preference? Is your band producing on vinyl?

No, we haven’t recorded on vinyl cause it’s not properly followed in our genre but….Never say never.

– How important is it for a musician in this generation to spend time on social media?

It’s essential! Our promotion is based completely on social medias, ‘Cause we live in that generation and it’s the best way to get recognized nationally and worldwide….With good and bad things of the case of course! We’d like people to know bands in the most traditional way….Live shows!

– Could you describe some of your earliest influences in life and in music?

A lot of influences. Music in our life has always been essential, and a lot of artists, bands and musical movements have influenced us. Some of us took something from the Grunge scene of the 90s, someone from the Glam scene of the 80s, someone even from classical music studied in academies and some of us from the Progressive rock and metal….We can say some names: Pearl Jam, Faith No More, Dream Theater, Emarosa, Green Day, Underoath, Porcupine Tree, The Crüe, Pantera, Metallica.

– What would we be surprised to find in your music collection at home?

Probably, the fact that you wouldn’t find almost anything similar to our music.

– Any words of wisdom to share with aspiring artists?

Be modest! Modest, brave and surround yourself with a positive company….For the rest, if there are common ideas there will be agreement!
