True Witness Interview

1. Could you tell me about the recording process for True Witness’s The Human Condition album? We tracked the Drums and the Bass in one day, the Guitars were done the next day, and the vocals over a few weeks. It went pretty smooth because we had done our homework and pre-production.

2. How far will the touring for the album take True Witness? I don’t have a whole lot of details about touring right now, still putting things together.

3. With the guitars on the album were there certain amplifiers used? I’ve been using Peavey amps for about twenty years now, in the studio I used my Triple XXX Head and a Marshall cab with Vintage 30’s. I also used a Marshall Head for some center tracks to fatten up the rhythm tracks.

4. What are True Witness’s current endorsements? Waiting for some offers

5. What’s your vision on the Internet as a way to releasing Music Online? The web is a great way to get your music to pretty much anyone in the world, I mean that was unheard of twenty years ago. It really helps expose a band’s music to a larger audience.

6. With all the bands coming out today. Do you keep updated with what comes out online at all? Yeah to a point, just band’s that I may be interested in.

7. What could we find interesting in your music collection at home? Probably my Al DiMeola collection, and College of Dupage  (All things Jazz) preset on my stereo. I really like the complexity of this music and the Guitar playing is insane!

8. Could you describe what goes on in a day in your life as a musician? I basically keep myself in shape musically by playing different styles of music everyday, trying different scales and things like that, along with traditional scales and warm up’s.

9. How is the Music scene in your area today? It’s awesome, a lot of great bands here in Chi Town!!

10. Any words for future musicians? Save your money, practice as much as possible and leave the ego at home.
