The Chicago band Styx performed an incredible show at Foxwoods. The crowd was thrilled by their first few songs, reacting with excitement. The band showcased their exceptional talent and skill throughout the performance. Their harmony in “Lorelei” was amazing, and drummer Todd Sucherman was precise. James “JY” Young delivered a phenomenal rendition of “Miss America” with a scorching guitar solo. Lawrence Gowan impressed by playing the keyboard backwards. Tommy Shaw captivated the audience with his acoustic guitar in “Crystal Ball.” New members Will Evankovich and Ricky Phillips were introduced, adding their talent to the band. Original bassist Chuck Panozzo joined in for “Fooling Yourself,” and the crowd sang along. The musicianship of Styx is mind-blowing. The band played fan favorites like “Too Much Time on My Hands,” and the audience clapped along. Lawrence had a remarkable keyboard solo that received applause. They performed “Lost at Sea” leading into “Come Sail Away” while the crowd joined in singing. After saying goodnight, Styx returned to play “Mr. Roboto,” receiving enthusiastic applause from the fans. “Renegade” concluded the show with an electrifying performance and a smoke-filled stage. It was an excellent show, and I recommend checking out Styx on tour.
