Robin Beck Interview on the new album Love Is Coming.
– What’s new in the world of Robin Beck?
I’m in my glory now. My new album, a new video and a new producer and world class song writer, Clif Magness has come into my world. I’m spending a lot of time in NY and loving it. It’s nice to be in my home town and one of the most creative places on earth.
– How was the studio experience in recording and writing your album Love is Coming?
As always working with my husband and partner James Christian makes being creative and inspired great. Having Clif Magness in the mix of things has more than improved the creative flow its opened up the possibilities of a more modern and contagious momentum of great music and productions to come.
– Will there be some kind of promo tour for this album in North America?
Probably not a tour of promotion but plenty of promotion otherwise. Keep your eye pealed and your ears up! I feel good things are coming.
– Must be great working with your husband James Christian in studio? Also finding the right musicians for
the album was it a lot of work to do so?
It’s always great working with James. He’s a master and he keeps me going and inspired all the time with amazing results. Clif Magness was at the helm on the music end and he put the whole thing together. James and Tommy Denander contributed with some keys and guitars. It all went down seamlessly.
– Today what would be your main inspirations in finding creativity to write music or just to enjoy life?
New blood is very inspirational. Working with people like Clif opens up the flood gates for that and it’s key for me when it comes to my music. I take it all in and appreciate it. I’m always amazed at how much more there is to learn from others and this keeps me joyful and inspired.
– You have collaborated with great artists in the past. These memories should be awesome and do you reflect on it often?
I have and I do. It’s great to remember where you came from and everyone who affected your life and career from time to time. Another great feeling that keeps me on my game.
– What words of wisdom can you give to our readers?
Enjoy what you do and if you don’t… remember that you are the captain of your own ship. Steer it where you want to go and be who you are and don’t live someone else’s idea of you. Never lose the dream you’ve always had.
