Kristen Karma Interview 2019

How is it going with Kristen Karma in the music world?

KK: It’s really well thank you for asking! I’ve just released my new single Party Heroes on April 6 and the response has been amazing so far! I’m really excited to see how far I can take this.

How was it writing and recording the single Party Heroes?

KK: I had a lot of lyrics and different ideas for Party Heroes. I had the concept and I went into the studio with a bunch of different lyrics and voice memos and really narrowed it down. From there by Producer Mark and I worked on the track and piecing it together to create this fun upbeat track!

How important is it to have the proper artwork for singles and albums to promote online?

KK: Absolutely important! Often music can get overlooked by their artwork alone. I mean, if that doesn’t look appealing to the listener then there’s a good change it will get tossed aside. It’s always good to having something eye catching!

Making videos must be a lot of work and still fun to do. How do you look at it?

KK: Its really should be fun. This is a complete visual representation of the artist and should be able to capture the viewer. I’m always hands on with all my videos and make I have input in everything I do.

How many shows do you do in a year?

KK: This really depends on what else I’m doing during the year. Currently I’m in the studio recording more material for my album and my focus has shifted that way. I’m still playing shows but they won’t be as many as previous years.

How important is it for a musician in this generation to spend time on social media?

KK: It’s important for every artist to be involved in their music career at all levels. Social Media is great in the way that it can bring people together from anywhere in the world to listen. We aren’t always able to get to different cities or countries and this gives us a chance to expand to them without the cost.

– What would be some of your main musical influences today?

KK: Hands down it would be Avril Lavigne, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, The Veronicas.

– Where do you see music in general going in 100 years from now?

KK: I see it evolving so much that there are going to be new genres of music that what can’t even fathom at the moment.
