Dex Romweber Duo Interview – June 4, 2014. Dexter Romweber is an American rockabilly/roots rock musician. Dex is best known as one-half of the seminal two-piece Flat Duo Jets. He currently fronts the Dex Romweber Duo with his sister Sara Romweber.

2. How was it recording Images 13 album?
We recorded with Rick Miller in Mebane, NC. It’s a laid back atmosphere recorded in segments. rick was real easy to work with.
3. What do you think of the recording technologies now to make albums?
Tape and computer, no hassles. been doin it for yrs. rick had a lot of old gear. we used that too.
4. During an average year how many shows do you do?
About 60.
5. Could you describe some of your earliest influences?
Benny Joy.
6. Who are some of the biggest names you shared the stage with?
Link Wray, Dick Dale.
7. How many hours a day do you spend on social media and the internet?
30 mins.
8. What could we find interesting in your music collection at home?
The magic fingers of Merlin at the Hammond organ, 1957.
9. Could you describe what goes on in a day in your life as a musician on tour?
Coffee, smokes, travel, conversation, more coffee, endless rd, lunch, more travel, venue, sound check, show, waiting, load out, hotel, sleep, wake up do it all over.
10. Where do you see music in general going in 100 years from now?
A low hum that rises the level of consciousness in humans.
