Prozak Interview

1. Can you tell me about recording the latest album Paranormal?

It’s been an amazing process. A lot was going on in my life during the writing and recording of this album. I believe the chaos has become the key ingredient to the music. It’s my best work yet… Cannot wait hear the responses.

2. How was it working with Sid Wilson from Slipknot for the song End of Us?

It was great. Sid and I are long time friends and have a ton of respect for each others art. He is an incredibly humble and talented dude. I knew this was a perfect song for us to collaborate on.

3. Was the recording process for Paranormal mostly the same as Tales from the Sick album?

Quite the opposite. Tales from the Sick was recorded all over the country at different studio. Tales had a lot of special guest appearances as well- contributing to the travel. Paranormal was recorded in isolation with my engineer Magnetic out of Detroit. I kept the sessions private and the special guests to a minimum of my closest circle. This is a very personal album… best writing of my career thus far.

4. Do you use Social Media mostly for promotion of your music now?

100% Facebook and Twitter mainly. I respond to almost everyone and post regularly.

5. Do you keep up to date with what’s coming out in your genre of music?

Not really at all. I listen to label-mates albums and music from friends of mine, other than that.. I like heavy music.Prozak Paranormal

6. How is the current Scene in your area?

It’s great… My area is known for dark and powerful music. Blame the economy and the capitalist factories that ruined our cities in Michigan, selling the jobs to third world countries for a higher profit margin.

7. What other projects are you working on?

My latest paranormal documentary.. “A Haunting on Potter Street”.

8. What could we find interesting in your Music collection in 2012?

Black Sabbath.. CCR.. Immortal Technique… Public Enemy… Bob Marley.

9. Could you describe what goes on in a day in your life as a musician?

Out here on tour? Chaos! I’m on the HostileTakeover Tour with Tech N9ne and Machine Gun Kelly right now. Longest tour in hip hop history. Craziness.. Sold shows nightly, in-store autograph signing with lines wrapped around the building, it’s an amazing experience.

10. Any advice for musicians that are starting in the music industry?
Never stop trying, always believe in your self… Network, be patient and stay true.
