One Interview

1. How was the recording experience for the latest One album Worlds Collide?

The experience was mostly painless… We decided to work with Kevin Jardine @ Uplift studios once again and since we all know each other pretty well, everything got done pretty fast. We didn’t even have a title for the album but as we were changing lyrics and melody of one of the songs we came up with Worlds Collide and sure enough we all loved it.

2. Where will you be touring this summer?
We just got back from a 9 week tour that took us all over the United States. The album wasn’t even out yet but we couldn’t wait any longer so we were approving mixes in hotel rooms and listening in the van from city to city until we finally released it May 10th… 1 month into the tour! We do however plan to get back on the road in the Fall.

3. Life on the road should be an interesting way to live. How do you manage your time?
We’re musicians… we don’t. All we try to do is make sure we’re on time for our gigs. Everything else doesn’t matter! We try and use days off to fine tune our songs and performance.

4. What are your current endorsements?
One Condoms, LaBella strings, Vater drum sticks, In-Tune guitar picks & Guitar Cable .com

5. Without Social Media could bands today manage to survive?
To each their own, but in my opinion, you gotta do more for fans nowadays… You need to take the time to talk with them in person or via social media. People want more for money, so if they are gonna buy your music, you need to give them a real reason to and most importantly, it’s gotta be sincere… almost everyone can tell when a person isn’t being sincere.

6. What’s your vision of the internet for musicians in the future?

Just my opinion, but I truly believe that if used properly, the internet is the second strongest marketing tool out there. Obviously the band and it’s music will always remain #1 but like I said earlier, people want more for their money and even big artists are jumping at the opportunity to do stuff like give-aways and free online concerts. I know there are many people out there that believe the internet killed the music industry but for hard working bads it has become a blessing in disguise.Danny Rossi singer

7. How is the Canadian Music Scene compared to the rest of the world?
I don’t have a solid opinion on this cause we mainly tour in the United States, but one thing I can say for sure is that people are more prone to leave the house to check out a band from out of town that they never heard of than here in Canada.

8. What could we find interesting in your Music collection in 2012?

Honestly we were working so hard on this new album since Christmas so it didn’t leave much time for listening to other bands but I did however manage to pick up Apocalyptic Love by Slash, A Different kind of Truth by Van Halen & Thirteen by Megadeth.

9. Could you describe what goes on in a day in your life?
Even if I told you what goes on in 1 day, you wouldn’t believe me!!! It would take me hours to explain… Lol!

10. Where do you see Rock Music in 100 years from now?
I can’t see into the future but I hope it all corrects itself… people need to once again, start enjoying life more, get out of the house and go watch a concert!!!
